About This Spot

Stepping into J & D's in the heart of Brigham City feels like settling into the warm embrace of a well-loved family table. The pace here is easy and unhurried, as if time itself has slowed to accommodate the quiet joys of comfort food and familiar conversation. The hum of friendly chatter blends with the clink of coffee cups, creating a soundtrack that feels both alive and soothing.

This is the kind of place where mornings stretch luxuriously long and breakfast is served all day—not out of obligation, but because breakfast here is more than a meal; it’s a shared ritual. Whether it’s the sizzle from the kitchen or the faint aroma of buttermilk pancakes swirling in the air, every detail invites you to linger a little longer.

The atmosphere reflects its family-run roots through moments of genuine connection and cheerful service, where you’re just as likely to encounter multiple generations enjoying time together as you are to find regulars who have been coming through the door for years. It’s this warmth that turns simple eggs and hashbrowns into something quietly memorable, accompanied by laughter and the unmistakable comfort of a welcoming neighborhood spot.

Evenings do not lose this spirit; instead, they offer an easy transition as locals gather to share stories over familiar flavors. Whether it’s a casual breakfast-for-dinner night or a celebratory meal with loved ones, J & D's feels like an extension of home—dependable, unpretentious, and quietly joyful.

Great food, great waiter, and a nice environment. The breakfast menu, which I ordered from, had a good variety and at good value for the cost. They also serve breakfast all day, which is a very nice service for the breakfast lovers out there

A restaurant that we tried as soon as we moved here right years ago, and it had never lost any vibe through that time. We often have breakfast, sometimes lunch, and on special occasions dinner with the family. The prices are just right, food is always warm and prompt, services is top notch, and you can always hear laughter and friendly voices between the chitter chatter of customers. I appreciate that within a few seconds of entering we are always greeted by a smiling face, welcomed, and sat within a reasonable waiting time. One of my favorite meals is their Denver omelet, no onions, but add mushrooms! Country style potatoes (always amazing), and pancakes! They literally have the best pancakes ever!!! If you are new here, visiting, or even a local for many years go in and enjoy a bite! You will be pleased and want to go back again!

I'm giving J&D's high marks because I really enjoy going to family-owned diner and Cafe style restaurants for breakfast. I ordered the steak and eggs, I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the steak was and how to perfuct it was cooked and tender it was. My grandchildren ordered a couple of the kid meals with pancakes bacon and eggs. I also ordered hot chocolate, and I was pleasantly surprised when the bill came that the hot chocolate what's an outrageously overpriced. Our server was fun she took care of the kids laughed and joked with them j&d's is clean period when you walk in the door as the smell of fresh coffee and pancakes. The total bill was just under 40 bucks for the three of us. Which I thought was more than affordable compared to other franchise breakfast places. If you're looking for a cozy warm atmosphere to enjoy a good breakfast I highly recommend j&d's

I had breakfast with some friends at J and D’s Diner and really enjoyed it. I ordered the corned beef hash with an over-easy egg and an English muffin. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Sydney, our waitress, was wonderful, attentive, friendly, and very helpful. She made the whole experience even better. I will definitely be coming back.

You will need to buckle up for this one. I have to admit, we weren’t expecting the taste of the delicious food this evening. Yes, we had breakfast for dinner and the cook was on his game tonight. When I say the cook, I meant to say the 12 year old kid knocked it out of the park. Tonight, it seemed like everyone working was not more than 16. All super professional and friendly as can be. J&D’s Family restaurant is a little bit off the highway, but it is every bit worth the drive thru lovely Brigham City. What a cool little town. We opted for the senior menu and found out that they serve the full menu all day, everyday. You can’t beat that with a stick, but you could try. We ordered The Jeppsen and Ham and Cheese Omelette and both tasted excellent. For a quiet Tuesday evening, in the town named after the man with 47 wives, the atmosphere was refreshing and the place was nearly full. Great job.

We were there on a Sunday night, so it was quiet. Got right in. My wife ordered ham and cheese melt sandwich and I ordered filet of fish. Both meals are really good. We were given our desert options, but were too full. I think Stacey was our server. She did a great job. If we are back in Brigham again, we will definitely stop by. Between the two of us, we spent around thirty seven dollars.Thank you.

Haven't been here in awhile but they did not disappoint. Tired something new (to me) and was happy with my selection. Prices are very good. Especially in this economy. Got more for my buck than most other places.
